Art of Élan @ Lux Art Institute

This February Art of Élan returns to North County with one of its signature one-hour concerts at Lux Art Institute in Encinitas. The concert will be paired with an opportunity to view the works of resident artist Sophia Narrett, including a meet-and-greet with the artist and a special pre-concert reception with the musicians. The colorful program is inspired by the concept of "honest fantasy," which artist Sophia Narrett has used to describe her own creative process. Including works by Shostakovich, Missy Mazzoli and provocative young composer Nico Muhly, this program explores the worlds of fantasy and reality as expressed through art and music.
